July our club was host of the 'Summer Conference
and Flower Show' at the Masonic Center in Ontario. It was the first time
in many of years we host such an event and with an active membership of
26 taking part in this program and seeing the results, we are so very
August our Executive Board continue to hold meeting
in the summer and the yearbook committee was very busy putting together
the final touch of our Club yearbook to be sent out to the membership
and to the District.
September was a 'Friendship Tea' with entertainment
by the 'Singing Minstrels' with refreshment of finger food. And later on
in the month we had a non meeting 'Fall Luncheon'. Our guest speaker was
Gaye Oyler from the USO center at the Ontario Airport. Donations of
items for the soldiers were given.
October was the beginning of our
club year and we started off with a 'Halloween Luncheon' and treats and
a wonderful "The Mystery of Magic' by entertainer Andrew Hernandez.
Collecting cards to send to our Veterans at the Veterans Hospital at
Loma Linda CA.
November was our regular membership meeting and our
traditional Thanksgiving luncheon and a former entertainer Betty
Lungdren who was a USO entertainer speaking on 'My World War II
Experiences". She was great!
Our annual BBG was held with Bingo, Bridge and
Games and our great Stuff Bake Potato for lunch with many baskets and
gifts donated for our fundraiser.
December as always our members
were very busy with their families but we did have a wonderful Christmas
Tea with a gift exchange. Our Christmas meeting /luncheon went well and
our entertainment was the 'Chino Senior Choir' all 30 of them singing
their hearts out. A wonderful Christmas feeling.
January was lead off with our "Prayer Breakfast'
and with minister Dr. Mitchell as our guest. This month is our Clubs
"Happy Birthday" of 111 year old. Birthday cake was served.
February was our 'Silver Tea'
Our regular meeting/luncheon with a 'Vocal
Impersonation' singer singing songs of the 40's & 50's. What a singer!
This month we nominated our Nominating Committee.
March our 'Past President Tea'
we honor our five living 'Club Past President' and for our meeting
/luncheon we had the election of new officers for 2014-2015.
April we held our annual
luncheon for the Ontario Fire Department Paramedics and our donation of
a table full of stuff animals they use though out the years to help the
children they meet in their work. They also gave some interesting and
educational information to our members. We had three members attend the
58th Annual District Convention.
May,we will install our new
voted in Executive Board for our Club and we will start all over again.
