Centerpiece Contest (one per club)

Where: co-hosted by the Woman's Club of Ontario &

Rancho Cucamonga Woman's Clubs

at Masonic Lodge, 1025 N. Vine Avenue, Ontario, CA

At this Conference, we welcome the new season with our “Fabulous Fall” theme as we highlight the Performing Arts. That’s right, the Fall Follies will be the program for the day. Once again, each club and their members are invited to dazzle us with skits, musical, oratorical, humorous, dance or original performances. You are not limited to the Fall theme and may also use the Women Who Inspire Us theme as well for your selections. Kindly advise 3rd VP Sharon Salito of your presentations in advance via email sharonsalito@hotmail.com . I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this year.

Our hostesses for the Conference are the Woman’s Club of Ontario. They meet at the Masonic Lodge for all their meetings. See the address above and driving directions in this CALL. In addition, some members of the Rancho Cucamonga Woman’s Club will provide assistance at the meeting. Thank you to all of the volunteers from both clubs.

The District 2017-18 yearbook will be ready for distribution at this meeting. Each Club President receives a free copy, as do District Officers and Chairmen, Past District Presidents and CFWC Officers and Chairmen residing in the District. Additional copies of the yearbook are available for purchase, $3.00 each. If your club would like to order copies, please use the order form on the District Website and send 1 club check (see below for payee and address) and they will be available at the October 20th Conference.

Please remember to identify members who are 1st Timers [first time they have attended a District conference] on your registration form. Second VP Cheryl Sardeson is ready to provide them something special so we all can welcome them.

The Bylaw Committee has finalized Amendments to our District Bylaws & Standing Rules and they will be voted on at the meeting. Proposed changes are attached for your information. Should you have any questions about the amendments, please contact Parliamentarian Robbie Kennedy.

District Conferences are open to all members. Please use the registration form that is provided and mail one club check for all those attending. Remember, the lunch is now $12.00 and registration remains $3.00 – total $15.00 per attendee. Club checks should be made out to: GFWC/CFWC San Bernardino District. Mail your check and registration form to Cecile Collar, District Financial Secretary, 1006 Notre Dame, Upland, CA 91786, by the deadline – October 6, 2017. (
